At Chagrin Valley Farms, our sale horse program is focused on offering two types of horses for sale: first, is a selection of safe, affordable horses for newer (not new) riders looking to continue their equestrian journey by becoming horse owners, and second is a selection of horses suitable for more experienced riders and trainers looking for horses that have a sound foundation of training, but need further development to reach their full potential.

Our goal is to connect potential buyers with the right horse to ensure a positive, enjoyable, and safe experience, and to ensure all of our horses go to good homes.

For new riders and equestrian families: We advise against purchasing a horse for a rider that is new to riding and horse ownership. As the old saying goes, “the experienced riders develop the young horses, and the experienced horses help develop the young riders.”
