Whether you are new to riding, looking to improve your skills, or returning after time off, Chagrin Valley Farms lesson program has options for all levels and ages of riders. Our experienced instructors teach you on the ground and in the saddle.
For placement purposes, riders with some experience but who are new to the lesson program will take a one-time introductory ride. This allows for your instructor to get to know your level of riding and for you to get a feel for our programs.
For those getting started riding, our Beginner Introductory Package offers up to five private lessons designed to help riders learn the basics in a one-on-one environment.
Group lessons are scheduled by riding level and include 3 to 6 people in the ring. Beginner classes are offered to students with enough experience to control their horse in a group setting.
Private and semi-private lessons
Private lessons with our instructors are scheduled on an individual basis between the student and instructor. Semi-private options are also available for two people in a shared session.
Looking to expand your learning experience or supplement your jumping, dressage or eventing training? Chagrin Valley Farms will host a riding clinic on Friday, November 23 with eventer Julie McElhaney. Julie’s students ride though the Preliminary level and she specializes in working with all levels of riders as well as young horses including off the track Thoroughbreds.
The clinic will offer one-hour riding sessions grouped by level of rider/horse with a maximum of four riders per group. The cost is $100 per session and the clinic is open to all levels of riders with jumping experience. The clinic will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and please indicate preferred time (morning or afternoon) when you register. Riders traveling in can reserve a stall for $20 per day. A limited number of spaces are available so reserve your spot now.
