We’ve been training riders since 1983. But we are proud to announce the launch of our completely revamped equestrian training program – the Chagrin Valley Riding Academy. This multi-faceted and tiered program will incorporate our Riding & Horsemanship Foundations program for beginners to train riders from the ground up (literally), and then develop them over time toward their individual goals. We emphasize a well-rounded approach to developing riding skills and horsemanship knowledge, including both flat and over fences work inside and outside the ring, and horse management skills. For our younger students, we emphasize the need for good nutrition, physical fitness, and good academic habits.
Chagrin Valley Riding Academy instructors and trainers have competed in, or had clients in, all levels of competition, and will instill in riders the values needed to achieve goals in life: individual skills, teamwork, dedication, persistence, and hard work.
Whether students are interested in riding recreationally, competing in local schooling shows, or competing at the highest levels-in college, on the professional circuit, or beyond-the Chagrin Valley Riding Academy offers programs designed to help our clients reach their equestrian goals.
Our Mission:
The Mission of our Academy program is to produce the best entry-level through intermediate-level hunt-seat (english-style) riders in the region, well-trained and educated in the American Forward Riding System through our adult and youth riding programs.
Our Curriculums:
We are recognized as both a U.S. Hunter-Jumper Association (USHJA) Recognized Riding Center and a U.S. Pony Club Riding Center, demonstrating our commitment to develop our students using recognized and time-tested methods in accordance with established standards. USHJA provides the strict standards of our hunter/jumper program and Pony Club provides a tiered structure of progression for our youth students and interested adults.
