We developed the CVF Pyramid of Student Advancement & Excellence to help our students and parents visualize the progression of a beginning rider from start to finish, with an overview of various programs that are available to different age and ability groups. This list is not exhaustive and doesn’t cover all of the equestrian disciplines, but all of the programs listed connect our students with the range of activities available.
This pyramid cannot fully illustrate the progression of a rider over time, and each of the programs presented overlap to some degree, but it is meant to show how a student transitions from initial riding lessons to various levels of competition and the program options available to each student depending on: whether or not you have a horse, your training level, and your budget, among other factors. More details on each program can be found on our program-specific pages.
The pyramid is also meant to serve as a basis for discussing goals with our clients, and the pros and cons of each program to help them reach those goals!
